Ingredients

For Two Cups Authentic Indian Chai

  • 1 Cup Water (100 ml)
  • 1 ½ Cup Milk (150 ml)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Black tea powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of grated Ginger
  • 2 Pods of Cardamon (split)
  • 4 Cubes Sugar (Adjust according to Taste)

Step-by-Step Process

  • Boil Spices & Water: In a saucepan, add the water, grated ginger, and crushed cardamom pods.
    Bring it to a boil over medium heat and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  • Add Tea Powder: Add the black tea powder to the boiling water.
    Let it simmer for another 1 minute so the tea becomes nice and strong.
  • Add Milk: Pour in the milk and stir well.
    Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 6-7 more minutes.
  • Strain & Serve: Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea into cups. Add 2 Sugar cubes to each cup and stir.
